Everyone seems to be doing individual things to reduce mosquitoes in their backyard: dumping standing water, dunks and larvacides, etc. I'm trying to find out if any "communities" are addressing the issue. Last year at this time, I got lots of calls from people who were seeing trucks fogging neighborhoods. Most of our calls were from people who thought the county was involved and wanted me to send the trucks to their house. Of course Gwinnett County has never fogged and has no intention of ever starting, so apparently people are seeing commercial companies hired to spray whole neighborhoods.
If any of you are in one of those neighborhoods, I would like to know what you have observed. Has it reduced mosquitoes? What does it cost the homeowners? How ofted do they fog/spray? Have you seen any two headed cats?
Last year I received lots of calls about trucks fogging. This year I have received none. What happened?
